One Camera, Many Stories

The first V-series mirrorless camera to feature a 32.5MP full-frame sensor, the Canon EOS R6 V is designed for visual storytellers of all kinds, combining striking image quality with ergonomics tailored to video capture.

Its streamlined design, in-body stabilization, and intelligent autofocus system make the R6 V equally suited for solo creators and professional productions. Boasting 7K RAW recording, impressive dynamic range, an active cooling system, and a wide range of other video-focused capabilities, the R6 V delivers consistent performance in fast-paced environments.

A rotating user interface and multiple tripod mounts ensure convenient, dependable operation in horizontal and vertical shooting configurations.

32.5MP Full-Frame Sensor and DIGIC X Processing

Built around a 32.5MP full-frame CMOS sensor with a powerful DIGIC X image processor, the R6 V captures exceptionally sharp, low-noise imagery in a wide variety of high-quality video formats.

The sensor's 6960 x 4640 resolution allows for 7K raw video recording, as well as 7K oversampling for 4K video with superior detail and color reproduction.

Effective across a spectrum of different lighting scenarios, the R6 V has a native ISO range of 100 to 64,000 that is extendable to 50 to 102,400, with 15+ stops of dynamic range in Canon Log 2.

7K RAW Video Recording

With an expansive array of video resolutions and formats, the R6 V maximizes flexibility in post-production.

Internal 7K30 open gate RAW and 7K60 RAW Light recording formats provide deep 12-bit color and razor-sharp detail, permitting advanced color grading and precise cropping in post without sacrificing quality.

Custom Picture can be activated using the dedicated color button, allowing direct access to Canon Log 2, Canon Log 3, HLG, PQ, Canon 709, BT.709, and 14 additional user-assignable profiles.

High frame rates up to 4K120 and 2K180 deliver striking slow motion, expanding creative possibilities and enhancing footage of fast-moving subjects.

Hybrid Functionality

Ideal for solo videographers, filmmakers, and photographers that require hybrid versatility, the R6 V retains many of the still-image-capturing abilities of its photo-focused counterpart, the R6 Mark III.

Its electronic shutter allows for continuous shooting at up to 40 fps and features a Pre-Continuous Shooting mode that captures an additional 20 frames prior to the shutter button being fully pressed.

Dual Pixel CMOS AF II

Carried over from the EOS R6 Mark III, the Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system is a rapid, responsive, and precise focusing system for both stills and video.

Engineered to recognize people, animals, vehicles, and more, this intelligent phase-detection system locks onto subjects and tracks them during movement. Advanced functions such as Register People Priority allow specific prioritization of subjects for unmatched accuracy.

Multiple autofocus settings for still images and video, including One-Shot, AI Focus, Servo, and Movie Servo AF
Phase-detection system with intelligent subject detection that recognizes people, animals, and vehicles
Register up to 10 people in-camera using photographs to prioritize them over other subjects in crowded scenes
Movie Servo AF offers cinematic focus pulls and customizable speed, sensitivity, and priority settings
Additional focus settings, including Eye Detect AF, Touch AF, and a variety of manual options with focus peaking

Comprehensive Image Stabilization

Featuring Coordinated Image Stabilization, the R6 V combines its In-Body Image Stabilizer (IBIS) with optical IS in compatible Canon RF and RF-S lenses, creating a multifaceted stabilization system that corrects up to 7.5 stops of camera shake at the image center for smooth video and sharp stills.

In addition to sensor-shift IS, the R6 V offers Movie Digital IS, a five-axis digital image stabilization function that moves the captured image across the CMOS imaging sensor to keep footage steady in highly unstable shooting scenarios.

Practical Design

Engineered for video capture, the R6 V sports a sleek, versatile body design that puts functionality first. A built-in active cooling system boosts continuous performance, while convenient physical controls and a vari-angle LCD with a rotating UI make camera configuration an intuitive experience.
